Mum's 50th Birthday Weekend
Too many flowers, too many tears and too many presents!
Aw it was so nice to be back home again! Having spent about 5 weeks at uni, slaving away over a laptop has been pretty repetitive but necessary. Most weekends I've been with Tom either at the house or in his home town. But this weekend was nice to take Tom back to my home town again and spend some well needed quality time with the family. Also not forgetting Mum's milestone of a birthday!
Being big kids, Tom and I were dying to ride on our 'tractor' (lawn mower). This entertained us all on Saturday afternoon, drag racing with Kieran and his Mini!
My sister, Alice and her boyfriend, Kieran spent most of Saturday evening blowing up balloons and setting up the kitchen to surprise Mum - 50 balloons, 2 canisters of helium and 2 hours later, the kitchen was transformed!
Alice got one of our school friends to create a bantam cake.
Google or Facebook "Holly's Cakes" for more information and browse her albums for pictures of personalised cakes she's made already. Holly is currently working on her website, however once it's up and running click here to visit her official website.

Sunday was a lovely day for all of us - dressed up, drank lots of lovely wine and shed a few tears during Mum's speech. But the best thing for me was to see Mum so happy reunited with her old school friends.
