The Future: Last Few Months At Uni

This past month = constant flow of job hunting, doing my final major project, concentrating on promoting 'Envy' and eating better. In less then 2 months, I'll have finished university... scary thought!

Bags, bags and more bags!

Whilst my FMP (final major project) is about bags, I've had to keep focused on 'Envy' aswell. What is it with me and bags?

I took these photos a few days ago. Whilst they are from River Island and New Look, I'll manipulate these images to suit my FMP. If that be lookbook pictures or website images, I'll use Illustrator to put a digital input onto them.

I'll probably use a lot of the detail from these bags, focusing on silhouette, key details, handles, colour etc. Pretty daunting when I think about it, but as I've said to my friends - 'It will get done, we always get it done!'

My other project is my bag brand 'Envy.' I've been focusing on creating lots of different styles, appealing to different people.

Recently, I've made a couple of bags with studs, which have shown to be hugely popular. Testing the water with different designs and styles is proving to be positive.

With feedback coming from friends, tutors and customers, I've started putting chains on a few bags.

Despite the bags being 'clutch' bags, I can see what people mean. It's easier when a bag has a handle on it. A lot of my friends use clutch bags when going out and it is so much easier to put a bag on your shoulder, rather then clutching it for dear life, hoping you don't drop it!

Otherwise, you either lose it or get a very sticky bag from dropping it on the floor where people will drop their drinks. Not a pretty scent - au de alcohol!

Finding time to promote my bags is easier then I originally thought, as I don't feel like it's a job. I love my bags - I wouldn't have it any other way. I find myself looking on Pinterest and Twitter for other bags to admire and it comes naturally. I'm curious to see what else is out there and what competition I'm up against.

People are right when they say - 'If you love what you do, it seems like less of a job.'

As for eating better...

I've recently had some weird tummy problems and spent the past few months going in and out of hospitals and the doctors surgery. So I've tried to do all I can to get these pains to go away.

Obviosuly, if any of you are students, you will understand that money doesn't grow on trees.

I bought the MIC:FIT dvd, to try and get a bit of exercise in my life. And true to my word, I am sticking to it... even if it is 3 or 4 days a week.

Eating better has been easier and cheaper then I thought.

I bought a blender from Asda for £20! As for the fruit, I find freezing them makes them last longer. One smoothie, everyday. Usually 2-3 frozen fruits go in, with orange juice to water it down - works a treat!

All this hard work and I still find time to go out and have fun with friends.

Above is a dress from Miss Selfridges. I originally bought it for an event and thought I'd only wear it once. But I whacked it out for this occassion. It may be a bit snug, but why not?

As the sun seems to making an appearnce these past few weeks, Tom and I found time to go and visit Top Gear's Exhibition at Beaulieu. Both the Motor Museum and the Palace House were more exciting then I thought. Not only did they have attarctions for men, but the gardens, the Abbey and the Palace house appeal to women too. To be fair, I rather enjoyed the cars too - guilty!
