Bridal Beauty: Elleebana Lash Lift

After attending a few weddings in my lifetime, I've seen gorgeous brides who took the plunge and got eye lash extensions or an eye lash lift.

Now it's my turn. But what to go for?

Anyone who knows me will know that I take hours to get ready. A normal working day, I will slap on a full face of make up. It makes me feel less conscious about spots and scars and the thought of thicker eye brows makes me smile (don't over pluck kids)!

I've been told that I have long eye lashes but I cannot tell you how many times I coat my lashes with mascara to keep them looking thick and long. I love the look of thick fluffy lashes but the amount of mascara us girls get through... just don't ask. And then having to take it all off before going to bed.
*sigh*

Like I said, I've seen so many blushing brides who had the most amazing lashes and now it's my time to walk up the aisle. I want to be feeling and looking my best and longer, thicker, curlier lashes will make me feel that much more of a blushing bride.

After a certain member of the family got their lashes done not so long ago, I took one look and said 'sign me up.' I couldn't believe she had no mascara on and I kid you not she said 'I woke up like this!' The thought of waking up and looking as though you naturally have the most photo-ready eye lashes made me giggle like a little school girl.

Now you ask, did she get eye lash extensions or a lash lift? She opted for a Elleebana Lash Lift - not an LVL Lash Lift. The beauty technician mentioned the benefits and flaws of both treatments, but a natural lift was more up her street.

Eye lash extensions can fall out and can look patchy after a while, but also an LVL lash lift has recently received some rather negative press - not lasting as long as customers had hoped. It's not an overly priced treatment but you want results to last longer then 2 weeks.

So one look at her naturally lifted lashes after 6 weeks of having them done - I wanted in.

The beauty technician who did her lashes in Oxford kindly recommended a lady down in Bournemouth so I could get mine done too. I checked out her social media platforms and knew she was the lady to go to. She had done plenty of lash lifts before and she doesn't have a negative review.

I watched plenty of YouTube videos of Lash Lifts and it confirmed in my mind that I wanted it even more. I've linked the video below as I got my lashes lifted on a shield/pad like the women here, but I also got them tinted whilst the shield was stuck in place.

After contacting the lovely Helena, she popped a patch test through my letter box and directed me where to put each solution behind my left and right ear. Luckily I had no reactions and was able to attend my appointment a few days later.

I can honestly say it was such a relaxing experience. Helena informed me that I may experience a warm sensation whilst having it done or that my eyes may water but like the girl says in the video above - its the same sensation as someone playing with your hair - now I'd like to hear someone say that they don't like their hair being played with!!

Helena explained the whole treatment before proceeding and she gave me a clean mascara brush after the treatment to keep my lashes in line. She also advised to keep them dry for the next 24 hours after the the treatment as it was still doing its thing. No saunas, no swimming and no mascara.

That was easy as going into work the following day, as my lashes looked as though they had a tone of mascara on them anyway!

The following day I put about three coats of mascara on and OMG they didn't need anymore then that. Picture below shows it all.

So if you live in Bournemouth and want a cracking Elleebana Lash Lift, give Helena a message and she will HOOK YOU UP - she is a superstar!

*Please note this is my experience and my opinion. You may find lash extensions or an LVL Lash Lift works for you, but do your homework.
